Course(s)
|
| The club has 1 eighteen hole course. The beautiful and well-appointed parkland course at Hazel Grove Golf Club is characterised by several natural water hazards. Add to these the planting of a further 6,500 trees during the reconstruction of 1990 to supplement the existing ones and you can see why careful course management is required by golfers of all levels.
The course has a number of feature holes each presenting its own individual challenge.
The par 5 third is as testing as any and ranks amongst the best in Cheshire while the best of the par 3's is arguably the eleventh, both for its degree of difficulty and picturesque layout.
Equally, the eighteenth finishing hole with its backdrop of the chalet-style clubhouse ranks with the best on the course.
With so many outstanding holes, it's hard to highlight any one as a 'signature' hole. However, the fifteenth, dominated by a large sweeping pond which runs along the left hand edge of the fairway, and across the front and down the left of the green, must take the honour. At 285 yards, this par 4 represents the ultimate risk or reward hole. From the elevated tee the green seems within reach with a well struck drive, but your mind is further concentrated by the out of bounds which runs along the right edge of the fairway. The decision is yours - lay up, or take on the green.
Hazel Grove Golf Club is proud to be a tour venue on the roster of the EXEL Pro Tour and is also an official PGA qualifying course. |

The Swiss chalet style clubhouse, built in 1990, provides the perfect atmosphere in which to relax after your round.
There's a spacious lounge bar, members' bar with snooker and card tables, spike bar which overlooks the 18th green and first fairway, and large balcony, ideal during the summer months for sitting out and watching players complete their rounds.
The restaurant offers an extensive selection of freshly prepared dishes to suit all tastes and occasions. From a la carte to delicious snacks, breakfasts to light lunches, tasty hot or cold buffets to carveries, the Head Chef and his team are vastly experienced and have established an excellent reputation for creating food of the highest standard.
Throughout the year many special events are held at the club, including gourmet evenings, cabaret nights, social events and private functions.
Our friendly and helpful staff are always on hand to make sure that your final hole, the nineteenth, is just as enjoyable as the eighteen you play on the course!
